AIM

To enable delegates to assess their own behaviour and that of others, promote assertive behaviour and develop appropriate skills to enhance personal and organisational performance.

OBJECTIVES

By the end of the workshop delegates will be able to:
  • Demonstrate an understanding of different communication styles and behaviours – assertive, aggressive and submissive
  • Demonstrate an understanding of the rights of the individual and others’ feelings during interactions
  • Identify opportunities to improve interpersonal communication across the organisation
  • Demonstrate an understanding of strategies which maximise their opportunity to be assertive and its benefits
  • Produce an action plan to support their personal development
